Frugality and a strong work ethic shaped my journey. Growing up, my sisters and I actively contributed to running our household while our parents worked multiple jobs. When they saved enough to purchase a convenience store, we all dedicated ourselves to its success, taking on roles such as cashiers, store cleaners, inventory managers, and bookkeepers. Through this experience, I gained a deep understanding of the value of hard-earned money and developed a passion for saving and investing.

I firmly believe in the importance of empowering others. Just as my own success has been influenced by the sacrifices and struggles of my family and mentors, I now have the opportunity to help others. As a wife and mother of four girls, I recognize the significance of teaching women about personal finance and its ability to provide a secure foundation. Volunteering and aiding others hold a special place in my heart, and I actively engage with my neighborhood, school, community, and church.

My prior roles honed my expertise in investment analysis and research. I started my career as a manager of investor relations and research analyst with Compaq Computer Corp (now the Hewlett-Packard Company). I took my research skills and industry knowledge to Morgan Stanley in New York where I was an equity research associate specializing in the personal computing hardware industry. I then joined AIM Investments (now Invesco) as a senior analyst supporting a $15 billion asset base of multi-cap growth investments in consumer discretionary, financials, and basic materials sectors. I continue my love of analysis and research at Brasada, supporting the team to help our clients achieve financial freedom.

When I’m not analyzing companies or 10-Ks, I am playing or coaching soccer, hiking with my family, or avidly listening to “Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!,” an NPR news radio game show.
