My upbringing instilled in me the value of adaptability. From my roots in the Netherlands to moving to Nevada at the age of 17 to pursue semi-professional baseball, to finally settling in Texas, each transition taught me the importance of embracing change and making the most of every opportunity.

One of my greatest sources of inspiration is my sister, Lauren. Despite having Down Syndrome, she has always been a beacon of kindness, consistently looking out for others. During high school, she inspired me to start a program that allowed students to serve as teachers in special education classrooms, an experience that left a lasting impact on me. Lauren continues to motivate me to take leaps of faith, including enrolling in the MBA program at the University of Houston at the age of 20. It was at the University of Houston that I discovered my passion for finance, particularly through my involvement in the Cougar Investment Fund. This experience solidified my career path into finance and trading.

Competition helped mold me. Back when I played semi-professional and Division 1 baseball at Houston Christian University, I witnessed how tiny mistakes and opportunities had a huge impact on games. In addition, after my playing career, I became an assistant pitching coach at Houston Christian University where I oversaw scouting and game planning. Not only did this teach me how taking care of the little details lead to long-term success, but it showed me how many people are needed to build a successful team.

When I am not trading stocks during market hours, you’ll see me coaching youth baseball, playing a sport, or hanging out with my dog “Coco”.
